We will leave Mexico City in the direction of Toluca. We will arrive at the mountain hut where we will get ready to start our climb to the high point, el Pico de Fraile.
We will walk through the crater of this extinct volcano, enjoying the great beauty pf the lakes, El Sol and La Luna (the sun and the moon).
After we have passed these lakes, we will start to climb to el Pico de Fraile, 4680 metres above sea level.
During the walk, we will enjoy the increasing openness as we climb and then we can the extensive views from the summit before we begin our descent to the lake, El Sol. We will enjoy a lovely meal with all the peace and tranquillity the being in the mountains can bring.
